Ruth Hobson was born in Logan, West Virginia on May 18, 1917 and went to her Lord and Savior on March 18, 2013. She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama where she was an active member of South Highland Presbyterian Church. She served as an Elder, Sunday school and Bible study teacher. Ruth was very knowledgeable about the Bible and loved sharing her faith with her family and friends.
Her many hobbies include photography, rock collecting, jewelry making and raising and nurturing her beloved kitty cats. Ruth was loved by all and will be deeply missed but we know God has just welcomed an angel in Heaven.
Ruth lived in Charlotte over the last few years at Carmel Place in Charlotte, where she enjoyed the community. Most recently she was staying at White Oak Manor and the family wishes to thank all of her loving caregivers there.
The service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 2:30 pm. Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton, NC will be handling the graveside burial service.
