Joe Bill "J.W" Curtis, Seneca, MO. age 72 passed into eternal rest Sunday, March 17, 2013 at his home after a long illness.

He was a mechanic/transport driver working at several local garages and driving for Seneca Gas, Union Gas and Synergy Gas Co until retiring due to ill health.

Joe was born Oct. 13, 1940 in Tulsa, OK the son of Cecil and Opal Curtis. He married Janet Conduff April 8, 1959 in Miami, OK and she survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Tom Curtis and wife Beth, Grove, OK, Stan Curtis and wife Carri, Stark City, Mo and Kurt Curtis, rural Seneca; 5 grandchildren, Branden, Sean, Amy, T.C. and Duncan; 4 great-grandchildren. Joslyn, Kaylee, Chaten and Kayden; 6 sisters, Myra Smith, Arlington, TX, Ada Pearl Deerocher and Verna Hodson both of rural Seneca, Katherine Johnson, rural Sarcoxie, MO and Glenda Black, Camden Point, MO; one brother William Curtis, Spring City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Danny; two sisters, Viola Sherman and Marilyn Curtis and one brother Junior Curtis.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Roy Scribner and Rev. Fred Mills officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Max Chester, Marvin Chester, Jerry Chester, Don Chester, Darrell Chester, Doug Scribner, Kenneth Chester and Bill Curtis
