At this time little is known about John Butcher. He came to Alaiedon Township soon after his marriage to Dorcus Lennon on 10-9-1857. He lived there the rest of his life.

They had four children. 3 sons and a daughter.
The sons and his wife survive him. The daughter died in infancy.

Research will continue on this family.

John Butcher was born 4-16-1837 in Michigan. The son of John and Matilda(Johnson) Butcher.

He married to Dorcas Lenon (born in New York) on 10-9-1857.

John died 1-8-1904 is buried in Leek Cemetery in Alaiedon Township, Ingham County, Michigan

William was married to Sarah Dennis 8-3-1885 in Ingham County
Floyd was married to Edith Bryan 10-5-1904 in Mason, Michigan
Lloyd died 3-22-1937 in Jacksonville Florida and is buried there. It is not known if he married.

Dorcas died 6-23-1906 and is buried with John in Leek Cemetery
