Herman E. Wenke passed away July 19, 2012 in Sublimity, Oregon at the age of 94. He was born on the Wenke farm west of Bloomfield on March 11, 1918. He was one of six boys and three girls born to Herman J. Wenke and Louise (Lange) Wenke. On Oct 23, 1947 he married Cleo (McFarland) Prominski.In the winter of 1948-49 they moved to Oregon. Herman spent his working years in Oregon as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic. Herman and Cleo had four children.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers Charlie, Walt, Henry, Everette, and Herbert and sisters Ricka (Dannert), Emma (Durant) and Hilda (Kuhl).
