Rick was a dedicated High Desert resident for 64 years, working over 40 years as owner and operator of Andy & Sons Mobile Homes. A tried and true Cowboy, never without his boots or hat, Rick was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, spending over 50 years on annual hunting trips to Utah with family and friends. His most proud community accomplishments include serving as President and other Board positions over 50 years for the Apple Valley Gun Club, originally the Desert Fish & Gun Club. An accomplished Trap shooter and NRA Life Member, he earned his 100 Club award. In addition, he served and enjoyed years of fellowship with the Victor Valley Elks and American Legion Post 0229. An honored Veteran, Rick was an Airman 1st Class in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was born to Andy and Clara Klein, brother to Ken (Sylvia) Klein, Barbara Jackson and Jerry (Suzanne) Klein.
Rick is survived by his son Joseph (Gina) Klein, daughter Karen (Stu) Dietro and grandchildren, Branden Dietro and Nathaniel and Noah Klein. Also by Nephews/Nieces: Judy Walters, Kurt Klein, Mark (Barbie) Jackson, Kristie (Ron) Rea, Michael (Debbie) Klein, and Jennifer (Joshua) Martin.
Rick was predeceased by his parents, brother Ken and nephew Karl Klein.
