Mrs. Urada Chancey, 68, of Fairplain, died Friday at Jackson General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Columbus Staats and mother Eva Fisher Staats. She was born June 7, 1908 in Jackson County. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Moody Chancey. She was a member of the Fairplain Homemakers's Club. She is survived by one son, Roger Lee, of Huntington; one brother, Claude Staats of Fairplain; and two sisters Mrs. Felice Harpold and Mrs. Columbia Lockhart of Fairplain. Funeral services will be at the Franklin Church at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Casto Cemetery. The Rev. William Eaton will officiate. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the Parsons Funeral Home in Ripley.
