Sara E.Kennedy age 18 of Berea daughter of Eddie and Norma Proctor Kennedy died Wednesday March 23,2005 at the UK Children's Hospital in Lexington.Sara was a Senior at Berea Community High School where she was crowned Homecoming Queen 2004, a member of the Student Council, Beta,FCA,Fcla Leadership and Seed club. Sara had been a member of the band where she played the flute and was a majorette; she was also an award winning actress in the Drama club.
Sara is survived by her parents as well as her beloved Chad Mackie and his parents Ron and Sheila Mackie and brother Ryan Mackie all of Weaverville, NC. Her paternal grandmother LaFern Kennedy of Cincinnati, OH, several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends also survive Sara. Sara was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Velva and Bernard Proctor and paternal grandfather Harrison Kennedy.
