Her husband, Alexander Bachand, died in 1971. She leaves a son, Kenneth Bachand and his wife Theresa of Southbridge; two sisters, Jennie Hindricks of Southbridge and Wanda Donohue of Dudley; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Kulis of Southbridge and Vivian Warren and her husband Robert of Southbridge; five grandchildren, Robin, Timothy, Michelle, Ronald and James; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her son, with whom she lived, Ronald "Whitey" Bachand, died in 2011. She was also predeceased by a brother, Mario Kulis and two sisters, Mary Mendala and Helen Desrosiers. She was born in Enfield, MA the daughter of William and Felicia V. (Murawski) Kulis.
Adele worked at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge for over 30 years, retiring many years ago. She was a member of the American Optical Quarter Century Club. After retiring she volunteered at the gift shop at Harrington Memorial Hospital. She cared for her son Ronald for over 30 years and they enjoyed watching sports together especially the Red Sox. She always appreciated the help she and Ronald received from her granddaughter Michelle throughout the years.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 20th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Blessed John Paul II Parish, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, March 20th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. before the Mass.
