Anna Marie DeRocher, age 94, of Eastlake, Ohio, formerly of East Hewitt Avenue in Marquette, passed away on March 10, 2013. She was born on June 29, 1918 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but resided in Marquette most of her life. Anna Marie married Howard J. DeRocher in St. Peter's Cathedral on June 22, 1940.

A graduate of Bishop Baraga High School class of 1936, she was at one time a former legal secretary and then was employed by the City of Marquette as Deputy City Clerk and Municipal Court Clerk. In 1964, she was hired and appointed Deputy Probate Register for the County of Marquette, a position she held until her retirement in June 1980. After her retirement she continued to work part time for the County as jury officer.

Before moving to Ohio in 1997, Anna Marie was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral and the Marquette General Hospital Auxiliary and its volunteer program.

Preceding her in death was her husband Howard, on December 12, 1983, and her mother, Irma Kildahl on July 1, 1979. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousin, George Locotos of Millville, N.J.

She is survived by three children, Patricia (Charles) Gunning of Marquette, John of Lansing, Mich., and Joseph of Eastlake, Ohio; three grandchildren, Terry (Lana) Harstford of Sullivan, Wis., Kristen Oxenford of Green Bay, Wis., and Charlie Gunning of Seattle, Wash.; four great-grandchildren, Nora, Marley, Eden and Iris Harstford of Sullivan, Wis. She is also survived by cousin Frank Locotos of Pittsburgh, Pa., several nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18 from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. in the Bishop's Room at St. Peter Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the cathedral with the Rev. Msgr. Michael Steber officiating. Interment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Anna Marie's memory.
