Ruth Geneva (Fauber) Taylor, 65, widow of George Herbert Taylor Sr., of 9 N. Waverley St., Staunton, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening, October 21, 2006, in Ruxton Health Center of Staunton.

She was born August 2, 1941, in Augusta County, Virginia, a daughter of Bernard H. and Mamie C. Holbert Fauber.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Taylor was employed by Western State Hospital as a C.N.A. She had been employed in practical home nursing for six years.

She was a very faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church where she was involved in many areas of the church. She was also a member of the Staunton Moose Lodge No. 1439.

Family members include two sons and a daughter-inlaw, G. H. and Shannon Taylor of Alexandria, Virginia, and Randy G. Taylor of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a brother and sister-in-law, Hunter and Alice Fauber, of Weyers Cave, Virginia; three sisters, Helen Fauber Berry and her husband, Fred, of Holly Hills, Florida, Sylvia Fauber Johnson and her husband, William, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ruby Fauber Hudson of Newport News, Virginia; three grandchildren, Brandi Minium, Siobhan Walker and Trey Taylor; a great-grandchild, Camden Walker; a brotherin-law, Mickey Taylor of Staunton; an aunt, Lillian Fauber Andes of Waynesboro; and a special friend, Rachel Branham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph W. Fauber, Raymond O. Fauber, Elwood H. Fauber and William L. Fauber; and two sisters, Murriel E. Fauber Baber and Shirley JoAnn Fauber Johnson.

A service will be conducted 11 a. m. Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Christ United Methodist Church by the Reverend John W. Ashley. Burial will follow in the Hebron Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews, whom all had a special place in her heart.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Henry Funeral Home and other times at her residence. Friends will also be received at the home of her brother and sister-inlaw, Hunter and Alice Fauber at 52 Wyer St., Weyers Cave, Virginia.
