Passed away Sunday, April 30, 1995, at St. Mary's Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Genevieve was born July 6, 1909 in Saginaw County to the late Pearl and Minnie Wiltse. She attended Wilste school and was graduated from Arthur Hill High School. Genevieve was married to William Menton Adams on August 5, 1935. He predeceased her September 15, 1968. Genevieve had been employed by Saginaw Abstract Company (later to become Burton Abstract) working in the Saginaw County Court House Building for over 35 years until her retirement in 1974. She had been a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Saginaw and was affiliated with the Presbyterian Women's Association, Circle #4 there. She was also a member of the Young at Hearts, the Merry-Wives and the Saginaw Women's Club. Genevieve will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Surviving are one son and his wife Robert W. and Susan (Dvorsek) Adams, Thomas Township. She also leaves one beloved grand-daughter Audrey Susan Adams, Albion College; also surviving are two sisters, Bernice Garrett, Freeland, Edwina Bernecker, Saginaw, one brother, Ernest Wiltse, Freeland, many dear nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Genevieve was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Howard Wiltse, Milton Wiltse and Nina Garrett.
Funeral service will take place 2:30 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church. 121 S. Harrison St. Rev Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate with burial in Owen Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 44- Mackinaw Road from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and then at the church from 1:30 p.m. Thursday until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider First Presbyterian Church.
