At some time after 1830 he moved to Washington County, Arkansas.
"The Washington Co., Ark. Probate Record "A", page 120, we find: That Thomas Standifer was appointed Administrator of the Estate of Abram Standefer, deceased, and Letters of Administration granted. This Order is dated April 16, 1841. We find that Abraham Standefer died intestate on or about the 26 day of February, 1835 and in Probate Record "A" page 136 under date of July 19, 1841, the following order appears to-wit: Esther Standifer VS Thomas Standefer."
"BOND FOR TITLE, Know all men by these presents, That I, Abram Standifer of the County of Washington and Territory of Arkansas, that I am entitled to three hundred and twenty acres of land by virtue of an Act of Congress passed the 24th. day of May A.D. 1828 granting donations of three hundred and twenty acres of land to Actual Settlers in that part of the Territory called Loveley's Purchase and West of the direct line from the South West corner of Missouri to Fort Smith."
His known chldren were: Thomas, born 1814; Jesse E., born 1820, died 10 Apr 1879, buried Steep Hill cemetery, Jenny Lind, Ark, mar. Eliza Leard; and Elizabeth, born 1825, died 4 June 1879, buried Steep Hill cemetery, mar. Samuel Brooken Stephens.
