OBITUARY
Died, of Diphtheria, in Cederville, on the 4th inst., Sallie P. Browning, in the fourth year of her age; and on the 12th inst., Paris, in the seventh year of his age, children of Jessee and Rebecca Browning.
Deeply do I regret to record among the scenes of death, these interesting children, who like the roses of summer, bloomed only to fade and die. As flowers which are so beautiful and tender in the morning are seem to droop under
the chilling blasts of evening, so these little jewels, who, a few days ago were basking in the sunshine of health, wee, by disease, swept from the fond embrace of a tender father, an affectionate mother, and two loving brothers, who truly mourn their loss. But God, in His providence, has removed them, and we trust He will bind up the broken hearts of those bereaved friends and prepare them to meet the children where ties are never severed, and sorrows never come.
