Mrs. Bessie Burson Dies at Age 59; She Had Lived 20 Years in North Loup

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Burson of North Loup were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Ord Christian Church. Mrs. Burson died Saturday at her home in North Loup. She was 59 years old.

Pastor J. H. Schroeder officiated at the 1 p.m. service. Mrs. Kathy Pedersen sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Marlys Schroeder.

Burial was in the Ord City Cemetery with Ross Williams, Derwin White, Wayne Cook, Victor Cook, Paul Wray, and Eldon Sintek as pallbearers. Hastings-Pearson Mortuary had charge of arrangements.

A life-long resident of Valley County, Mrs. Burson – with her husband Ralph, whom she married on March 12, 1927 – had been a resident of North Loup the past 20 years.

The daughter of Frank J. Fryzek Sr. and Bessie (Fier) Fryzek, Mrs. Burson was born Dec. 30, 1910, at Ord. She was a member of the Ord Christian Church.

Survivors are her husband, of North Loup; one son, Harry Burson of Giltner; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Sautter and Mrs. Delores Wray, both of Ord; her mother, Mrs. Bessie Fryzek of Ord; five brothers, George, Joe, and Vencel Fryzek, all of Ord, Frank Fryzek of Greeley, Co and Jerry Fryzek of Omaha; and 13 grandchildren.

Mrs. Burson was preceded in death by her father, one son, one sister, and one grandson.
