Mr. Edward Henry Elsberry, age 87 of Smyrna, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna with Dr. Steve Kimmel officiating. Burial will be in the West View Cemetery in Atlanta.

Mr. Elsberry was a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He owned Berry Elsberry Company in Atlanta for 52 years. He was a member of the Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving are son, Michael Elsberry of Douglasville; daughter & son-in-law, Marcelyn & Bob Andrews of Smyrna; sister, Betty Green of Mansfield, GA; 3 granddaughters & spouse, Kathy Andrews of Smyrna, Amy Andrews of Missoula, MT, Ashley & Nick Scott of Japan, 2 grandsons & spouse, Chuck & Laura Carter of Dallas, Lorne Elsberry of Douglasville.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
