EDITH GLYNN FULGHUM, was born October 26, 1916. First-born of Eugene Sherrod Fulghum and Virginia Catherine Long. Born at Louisburg, Franklin County, North Carolina. Edith died on 14December 2003, in Silver Bluff Village (Nursing Home), Canton, North Carolina and was buried on 18 December 2003 in the cemetery at Calvary Methodist Church, near Littleton, N C, next to her beloved husband, Carl. Attended college at East Carolina Teachers College (now East Carolina University), Greenville, North Carolina. She taught school in Halifax County, North Carolina for several years then went to work for the United States Department of Agriculture, at the Halifax County ASC Office, until her retirement. She was very active in the affairs of Calvary Methodist Churchand served as Choir Director of both the Adult and Children's Choirs for 25 years.She married Lewis Carl Myrick on November 24, 1937. Carl was a farmer, then went to work for the Coca Cola Company, Weldon, North Carolina, where he worked for a number of years. Carl served in the 81st Infantry Division during World War II, in the Pacific Theater. He returned to farming after his employment with Coca Cola and continued to farm until his retirement. He died in January 1980 and is buried in the cemetery at Calvary Methodist Church near Littleton, N.C. Edith and Carl had one daughter: Glenda Gail Myrick, born August 1, 1947. Gail is a registered nurse. She married Beecher C. Allison on September 6, 1969 and they have three children:1. Amy Carol Allison, born November 13, 1975@ Ashville, NC. She married Jonathan Wesley Edwards on July 25, 1998 at Lake Junaluska , NC.2. Marsha Marie Allison, born May 30, 1979 @ Ashville, NC3. Beecher Carl Allison, Jr., born April 17, 1983 @ Ashville, NC
