Adam N. Beener Ended His Life With His Rifle

Adam N. Beener, 55-year-old Glencoe farmer, shot and killed himself with a 30-caliber rifle at the Herman Hutzel farm near White Oak, where he made his home. He was born in Jenner Twp., a son of Daniel and Anna (Speicher) Beener, both deceased. Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Edna Livengood, wife of John A. Livengood, Harrisburg, and two sons, Edward Beener, New Centerville, and Walter D. Beener, at home. There are six grandchildren. Mr. Beener was a brother of Frank Beener, Johnstown; John Beener and Mrs. Ellen Grasser, both of Jennerstown; Rube Beener, Boswell R.D. 1; Mrs. Henry Gilbert and Mrs. John Hay, both of Hollsopple R.D. 1, and Mrs. Martha Thomas, Philadelphia. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Johnson & Son Funeral Chapel, Berlin, Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger of Meyersdale officiating. Burial in the Jennerstown Cemetery.
