ANDERSON, Ind.--Clarence A. Rinker, 81, 6141 S. Layton Road, died Tuesday in Community Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Rinker, who was born in Anderson, was a carpenter by trade and was formerly employed by Guide Lamp Division of General Motors. He worked 33 years for Anaconda before retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Abundant Life Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Louise E. Turner Rinker; three sons, George E., Donald L., and Frederick W. Rinker, all of Anderson; two daughters, Alicemae (Mrs. Lawrence) Snider and DeAnna Sue Rinker, both of Anderson; three sisters, Huberta M. (Mrs. Clinton) Rhodes, Ida Steward and Catherine (Katy) Rinker, all of Anderson; 28 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and his special friends, Robert and Gretta Telle.
A son, Clarence A. Rinker, died in 1937.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Ballard & Sons Funeral Home, Daleville, with Rev. Johnie Murray officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Calling is 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
