Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at Knollwood Chapel. Deacon Ken Coenen will officiate and entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.
He was born Aug. 11, 1924 in Manitowoc County, son of the late Alfred and Clara Springstube Miller. Gordon attended Washington High School, Two Rivers, and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was formerly employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding and retired from George Clark Transit in 1984. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. In years past, Gordon was an avid stock car driver.
Survivors include his children, Gordon (Darlene) Miller of Two Rivers, Tina (Neal) Hilbelink of Manitowoc, Lola M. Miller of Two Rivers, Rory Miller of Nevada and Tarita Miller of Two Rivers; four grandchildren, Frank, Ed, Amy and Maegan; two great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Ethan. His brothers and sisters, Karen (Lee) Abraham of Random Lake, Gerald (Winnifred) Miller of Manitowoc, Janet (Kenneth) Mueller of Manitowoc and Sharon (John) Cookle of Manitowoc; his former wife Alma Leach of Two rivers. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerome Miller, John Miller and Al Miller Jr.
The family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday morning at Knollwood Chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Diabetes Foundation.
