October 9, 1851

An affray took place near Gallatin, Tennessee., this morning , between Messrs. Mc Etrath and Robert P. Peyton, brother to Hon. Bailie Peyton. Peyton struck McEtrath with a cane, when the latter stabbed Peyton to the heart, causing instant death. --- McEtrath has been arrested.
