Goldie M. Osterloth, 73, of 1137A Fremont St., Kiel, died Tuesday evening,August 28, 1990 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday at St. James United Church of Christ,
Spring Valley. Rev. William Kesting, pastor, will officiate and burial willbe in the church cemetery.
The former Goldie Potter was born November 22, 1916 at West Bend, Wis.,
daughter of the late Walter and Mathilda Knopp Potter. She attended school in
West Bend.
On October 10, 1936 she married Elmer Osterloth at Trinity Lutheran
Church, West Bend. The couple farmed in the Fillmore and Random Lake areas until 1955, when
they moved to Osman where they operated Elmer and Goldie's Tap for 32
years when she retired and moved to Kiel. Elmer preceded her in death Oct. 23,
1973. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley.
Survivors include three sons, Richard and LaRaine of Madson, James and
Doris,David and Sherri, all of Newton; two daughters, Bonnie and Richard
Klessig ofNewton, Brenda and John Kaufmann of Kiel; 25 grandchildren; 10 great
grandchildren;two brothers, Harold Potter of Ohio and Orville Potter of Milwaukee. She waspreceded in death by two grandchildren, a daughter-in-law and a great
grandchild.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, 4 pm to 9 pm Friday
and at thechurch on Saturday from 11 am until the time of service. A memorial fund has beenestablished in her name.
