Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 1996, at St.
James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley. Rev. William Kesting, Pastor,
will officiate with interment in the church cemetery.
The former Helen Bohlman was born November 3, 1918, in the town of Mosel, daughter
of the late Hugo and Elsa Pieper Bohlman. She attended Champion School, Howards
Grove High School and the Sheboygan Business College. Earl Neumann and Helen B.
Bohlman were united in marriage On September 5, 1942, at St. Pauls Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. Helen worked at the United States Department
of Agriculture for five years, and together with her husband worked on the family
farm in the town of Meeme until they reitred in 1981. Helen was a member of St.
James United Church of Christ in Spring Valley, and a former member of the church
choir.
Survivors include her husband, Earl; one son, Nathan (Diane) Neumann, Eau Claire;
three daughters, Judith (Leslie) Rahn, Sheboygan, Lois (Michael) Walsdorf, Kiel,
Carol (James) Kueter, Waupun; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two
brothers, Karl (Romelda) Bohlman, Howards Grove, Ronald (Joyce) Bohlman, town of
Mosel; two sisters, Irene Schmidt and Marion Hoard, both town of Mosel. Also
surviving are nieces and nephews. Helen was also preceded in death by one
granddaughter.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Helen B. Neumann to the
Community Home Hospice of St. Nicholas Hospital.
The Zimmer Funeral Home of Howards Grove assisted the family with arrangements.
