Earl Neumann, 87, formerly of Newton passed away Friday,
November 24, 2006, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home.
Earl was born November 7, 1919 in Sheboygan to the late
Albert and Elsie (Muetzelberg) Neumann. He attended grade
school in Spring Valley and attended Central High School
in Sheboygan. While in high school he lived with relatives,
which enabled him to attend. On September 5, 1942, he
married Helen B. Bohlman at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in
Howards Grove. Together the couple farmed on the family farm
in the town of Meeme until their retirement in 1981. Helen
preceded him in death on December 5, 1996. In that year, Earl
found a special relationship with Jesus Christ.
He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ in Spring
Valley.
Earl was involved with Lake to Lake Dairy, the Farm Bureau,
DHIA, and for a number of years, he sold Behlen corn cribs and
grain bins. In his retirement he enjoyed woodworking, gardening,
and telling jokes.
He is survived by three daughters: Judith (Leslie) Rahn of
Sheboygan, Lois (Michael) Walsdorf of Kiel and Carol (James)
Kueter of Waupun; a son: Nathan (Diane) Neumann of Somerset,
eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, a sister
Marie Schmidt, a brother-in-law Ronald (Joyce) Bohlman of Town
Mosel; two sisters-in-law; Irene Schmidt and Marion Hoard, both
of Town Mosel. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter.
A Funeral Service for Earl will be held Tuesday, November 28,
2006, at 2:00 P.M. at St. James United Church of Christ, Spring
Valley, with the Reverend William Kesting, Pastor, officiating.
Friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 11:00 A.M. until
the time of service. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
