Mrs. Neumann, nee Elsie Muetzelburg, was born Jan. 14, 1892, in the town of Meeme,
daughter of the late August and Mary Kolb Muetzelburg. She attended district school
in the Town of Meeme. She was married to Albert Neumann, June 14, 1913, at St.
John United Church of Christ, Town of Herman. The couple farmed in the Town of
Meeme until retiring in 1952. Her husband preceded her in death in 1968. Mrs.
Neumann was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley, Ladies
Aid Society of the church and a former member of the Town of Meeme Homemakers.
Survivors include a son, Earl of Meeme; a daughter, Mrs. Winfred (Marie) Schmidt
of Plymouth; a brother, Roland Muetzelburg of Green Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Viola
Barthel of Milwaukee and Mrs. Olivia Kautzer of Sheboygan; six grandchildren and
15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, after 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.
to 11 a.m. Friday and then at the church from noon until the time of services. A
memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Neumann's name.
