Ellen Hawkins, 86, of Lake City, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church.she was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Sarah Miller Seiber; her husband, Simon Hawkins; and by three brothers, Bob Seiber, Jesse Seiber and the Rev. Albert Seiber.Mrs. Hawkins is survived by two sons, B.I. Hawkins and Albert Hawkins, both of Lake City; four daughters, Mary Etta Patterson and Bernice Phillips, both of Clinton, and Pauline Bray and Misty Hawkins, both of Oak Ridge; seven grandsons, Gary Byrge, Matt Byrge, Mickey West, Tony Foster, Jackie Foster, Stevie Foster and Jonathan Massey; four granddaughters, Gretta Smith, Angie Byrge, Amanda Cooper and Crystal Loveday; and by 24 great-grandchildren.The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Pitney Seiber officiating.Burial will be at Tommy Phillips Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home
