Phillip E. "Lefty" McKinney, age 72, of Marion, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at The McDowell Hospital. A native of McDowell County, he was born June 4, 1933 and was the son of the late Hollis McKinney and Myrtle Woody Elliott. Mr. McKinney attended Faith Baptist Church. He was beloved by his family for his warmth and good sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son Randy "Dog" Sigmon.
