Jennifer and Jeffrey Scott Greene were married on January 27, 2005 in Glenwood. They made their home in Malvern, Iowa and they were the proud parents of three boys, Jordyn Trevor, Weston Scott, and Heydyn Greene.
Jennifer was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed watching the TV programs, CSI and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Jennifer loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and finding those elusive morels each spring. She loved shopping (what girl doesn't?) and going to Wal-Mart. Jennifer especially loved spending time at her grandma and grandpa's homes, spoiling her niece Maci (the little girl she didn't have), and taking care of her three boys, who were her pride and joy.
Jennifer contracted bacterial meningitis in October 2012 and fought a long and difficult battle. She passed away on March 13, 2013 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, at the age of 27 years, 5 months, and 5 days and was preceded in death by her grandmother Elaine Goodwin; and grandfather Frank Greene.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Scottie Greene; and sons, Jordyn, Weston, and Heydyn, all of Malvern; mother Laurie Gray of Malvern and special friend Keith Hammers of Villisca, IA; father Terry Gray of Malvern; in-laws, Jeff and Belinda Greene of Malvern; sister Holly Lynn Gray of Miami, FL; sister-in-law Mary Greene and fiancé Miki Alt and their daughter Maci, all of Malvern; grandfather Robert Goodwin; grandmother Cheri Greene; and uncle Brian Goodwin, all of Glenwood; other extended relatives; and many friends.
