Betty Rall Dickens, 89, an artist and wife of a Weatherford businessman, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Garden Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Betty was born March 21, 1923, to Cary E. Rall Sr. and Hattie Dixon Rall. She grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Paschal High School in 1941. Betty married her husband, Donald Dickens, in 1945 and she helped him build his company, Planners, Inc. Since 1958, she admired her natural surroundings while living with her husband at their home near Weatherford Lake. She was a former member of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth as well as numerous art organizations including the Texas Visual Arts Association, the Weatherford Arts Association and the Society of Watercolor Artists in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Walter C. Sanders Jr.; granddaughter, Lisa Franklin Grizzard; sister, Catherine Rall Poe; and brother, Cary E. Rall Jr. Survivors: Husband, Donald L. Dickens; daughter, Deborah Dickens Franklin and her husband, Sam; son, Gregory W. Dickens and his wife, Emma; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
