Chad Joseph Biven, 19, passed away on Sunday March 20, 2005 in Laramie, Wyo., where he was attending college.
Chad was born on Sept. 6, 1985 in Jackson, to Jill Biven and Grant Tallon.
Jill later met and married Ron Montgomery, Jr. and relocated to Montana where Chad’s sister Nicole was born. Ron adopted Chad at an early age. While there, Chad played ice hockey and excelled in boxing to the level of silver glove.
Chad moved back to Jackson in February of 2003 to live with his grandparents, Joe and Nikki Biven. He graduated from Argonaut High School. He especially loved to wrestle and was chosen to be on the Argonaut Varsity wrestling team.
He was attending college at Wyotech Automotive School in Laramie, Wyo., and was working toward owning his own business with his best friend Ted Gates. They were going to specialize in high performance engines and classic cars. He had a special gift when it came to cars of all types and knew from an early age that was what he wanted to do with his life.
He is survived by his parents Jill (Biven) Whyte of Hawaii, Ron Montgomery of Helena, Mont., and Grant Tallon of Jackson; grandparents, Joe and Nikki Biven and Pat and Helen Tallon Sr., all of Jackson; Ron and Karen Montgomery Sr. of La Paz, Baja California; great-grandparents, Don and Helen Leslie of Jackson; sister, Nicole Montgomery; brothers, Connlan and Brogan Whyte, all of Hawaii and Sean Tallon of Jackson; as well as numerous great aunts, great uncles, aunts, uncles and cousins
Memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 12134 Airport Road in Sutter Hill. The family invites his friends, classmates and teachers to attend this celebration of Chad’s life. His final resting place will be in Santa Cruz.
Because of his love of wrestling, the family request any memorial contributions be made to the Argonaut Wrestling Team, c/o Argonaut High School, 501 Argonaut Lane, Jackson, 95642.
