Mrs Nettie Lee Benson (nee Cook) 76, of 524 1/2 33rd St, died Friday night, Sep 23, 1960 in Camden Clark Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born Feb 14, 1883 in Jackson County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Minerva Cook. She spent most of her life in Ravenswood, coming to Parkersburg seven years ago in 1953. She was a member of the Beechwood Heights Church of Christ.
Surviving are: her husband, Ervin Benson; two sons, Kenneth Benson of Ravenswood and Lester R Benson of Parkersburg; four daughters, Mrs Marie Homan of Parkersburg, Mrs Mildred Casto of Liverpool, Jackson County, WV, Mrs Margaret Smith of Mansfield, OH, and Mrs Glen Morrow of California; two sisters, Mrs Lisa Staats of Ravenswood and Mrs Nellie McGrew of Akron, OH; and several grandchildren. Mrs Benson was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday, Sep 26, 1960 at the Chambers Funeral Home, Ravenswood with Evangelist James R Butt officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery. The body is at Ogden Funeral Home, Parkersburg and will be taken to Ravenswood at 1 pm Monday
