Chester L. "Pete" Wright, age 78, of Mechanicsburg, OH., passed away March 14, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born May 20, 1934, in South Charleston, WV., to the late Denver M. and Minotee Johnson Wright.
Along with his parents Chester is preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Wright, two sisters, Carla Jean Bashlor and Delores Faye Wright, and a step-son, Darrell "Rocky" Slone Sr.
Chester is survived by his wife, Mary E. Wright, one son, Charles Wright of Mechanicsburg, OH., two daughters, Kimberlea "Kim" (Duane) Haynes of Springfield, OH., and Minotee "Missy" (Tim) Sizemore of MI., three step-sons, Ron (Cathy) Slone of Grove City, OH., Keith Slone of Mechanicsburg, OH., and Joe Slone of Columbus, OH., a brother, Denver Ray (Judy) Wright of Clarksville, IN., two sister-in-laws, Ida Knight and Catherine Rice of Chesapeake, OH., seven grandchildren, several great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, from the Magoffin County Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Harry Mead officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery at Grape Creek, Kentucky.
