Born December 1, 1954, in Kittanning, he was a son of the late Brady Raymond and Nellie G. (Sharp) Cousins.
He had worked for Freeport Borough as a laborer.
Jerry enjoyed animals, fishing, being around people, and spending time by a peaceful stream or at camp with a cold beer. He also loved any type of music, and was at peace with God.
He is survived by three sons, Jerry (Jill) Hollobaugh of Kittanning, Jerry (Laura) Cousins Jr. of Shelocta, and John J. Cousins of Kittanning; a daughter, Miranda White of Dungannon, OH; his grandchildren, Jordan White, Skylar Cousins, Oden Cousins, Zachary Johnson, Jake Gunter, and Rebecca Eyler; his great-grandchildren, McKenzie Eyler, Dimitri Rowland, and Izaiah Johnson, who enjoyed morning picnics with Poppy; his brothers and sisters, Connie Zion, Bonnie Thompson, Elaine Zanetti, Charles Cousins, Dean Cousins, Larry Cousins, and Terry Cousins.
He will be dearly missed by his longtime friend, Jack Shepard, and many other friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Brady, Monty, and Bill Cousins; and a sister, Pat Smith.
Arrangements are being handled by the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City, and a memorial service is being planned for a later date.
