"Justin Vaughn age 25 of Snyder, Texas passed from this life on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at his residence in Snyder.

"Services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman with Rev. Eddie Short officiating. Interment will be at the Coleman City Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:30 till 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.

"He was born Justin Ray Vaughn on May 6, 1987 in Abilene, Texas to Jeff Vaughn and the late Glenda Williams Vaughn. Justin was raised in Coleman County graduating from Novice High School in 2005. On July 7, 2007 he married Kimberly Dawn Pederson in Brownwood and they celebrated five years of marriage. He had been a resident of Brownwood where he worked for Colortyme then was transferred to Snyder in 2009 where he was Manager of Colortyme Store and a member of the Trinity Methodist Church.

"Survivors include: his wife, Kim Vaughn of Snyder, Texas; a daughter, Jordan Vaughn of Snyder, Texas; two sons, Christian and Braylon Vaughn of Snyder, Texas; his father, Jeff Vaughn of Coleman, Texas; a sister, Heather "Beverley of Abilene, Texas; a brother, J. W. Vaughn of Brownwood, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Sue Williams of Coleman, Texas; and several aunts, uncles and cousins."

"The Snyder Police Department released Thursday the identity of a man killed early Wednesday morning. According to a news release from Chief Terry Luecke, the victim was Justin Vaughn, 25, of Snyder. The police department and Texas Rangers are investigating the death as a homicide. No arrests have been made. Vaughn was apparently shot in the 200 block of 36th Street about 2:10 a.m. Wednesday. The body was taken to Lubbock for an autopsy, which was expected to take place Thursday. Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the department at 325-573-2611.
