Shirley Jean Busby was born April 20, 1935 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma the daughter of Thomas and Anna Price Foster. Shirley passed away Thursday March 14, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 77 years of age.

Shirley grew up in Okmulgee graduating with the Okmulgee High School class of 1952.

Shirley Foster and John Busby were united in marriage on June 27, 1952. At the time of his death in 1991, they had been married for 39 years.
Shirley worked in many different areas; as a typist, cashier, business owner, teacher and in day cares. She was a missionary to Haiti, Jamaica and traveled several times to the Holy Lands.

Her greatest accomplishment and the things she enjoyed the most in life were serving God, being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; Thomas Foster and Anna Price, one brother, Charles Foster, one sister, Anna Marie Riker, her beloved husband, John, two sons, David Busby and Michael Busby.
