Mary Ellen grew up in Thayer, Missouri graduating with the Couch High School class of 1962. Upon graduation she attended Beauty School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mary Ellen Clausing and Bruce McCombs were united in marriage in 1963. At the time of his death on March 16, 2011, they had been married 47 years.
Mary Ellen and Bruce moved to Bixby in 1975 from Arkansas.
Mary Ellen owned and operated her own beauty shop for 38 years, styling hair for every occasion.
Mary Ellen and her family attended First Baptist Church in Bixby.
In her spare time, Mary Ellen enjoyed shopping & spending time with her grand kids and great-grandkids.
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Bruce.
