Benjamin Franklin Biggs served in the Civil War. Benjamin married Racheal Horne in 1833 and they had Benjamin Franklin Biggs, Jr. and Marth Ann Biggs Spurgin. He then married Alsy Jane Starr in 1847, he and his wife, Alsy, came to Collin County from east Texas in 1867. They were the parents of seven children.
