Actor. He will perhaps be best remembered for playing Noah Bain in the TV series "It Takes A Thief" (1968 to 1969). He played a wide range of memorable characters in numerous classic television programs during the course of his career, among them Commodore Mendez in a two-part episode of "Star Trek" titled "The Menagerie" (1966) and as False Face in "Batman" (1966). The son of parents whom immigrated from Austria-Hungary, he took an interest to acting at an early age and left high school to pursue opportunities in theater. Following service with the United States Military during the Korean War, he landed roles in the off-Broadway productions of "The Iceman Cometh" (1956) and "The Courageous One" (1958). He launched what would become an extensive career in television with an episode of the series The DuPont Show of the Month in 1959 and went onto total scores of credits during the next fifty years. Early in his career, he was billed as Mal Throne. He had been battling cancer prior to his death.
