Eben lived most of his life in Clinton, CT. and was a carpenter that built boats and just about anything else. To see some of the tools used back in his day, you can actually visit the Buell Tool Museum in Clinton, CT. The Buells had a hand in building the old school house in Clinton, also.

Eben married Abigail Wilcox Dec. 6, 1826 in Clinton. All his dates and children are documented in the Bible of his son, Andrew Buell, which is in my possession. The Bible was passed on to Elizabeth Wilcox (Abigail's sister)who was my GGG grandmother, passed to her son Edwin R Kelsey, to his wife May Elinor Kelsey Sperry(my great grandmother) and then to me before her death.

During the period from 1860-1870's, Eben and Abigail spent living with their family in Ohio and PA. by 1880 he is once again found in the Census of Middlesex Co. CT. He is listed as living with his son Andrew's family. He and Abigail moved back to Clinton prior to her death in April of 1879. She died of an Ovarian Tumor. Eben died a year later from Diabetes. Both Eben, Abbie and their infant son Eben are buried in Indian River Cemetery in Clinton, CT.

Eben is listed as a "Master Ship Builder" in the 1870 Census of New Hamburg, Greenville, Mercer Co. PA.
He is in the household of Andrew and Marietta with their son Eben age 10.

Eben and Abigail's children were:

1. Eben W. Buell b. June 22, 1828 d. Aug. 11, 1829
