Daniel Boone Prince, 73, of Selmer, Tenn. formerly of Lawrence County, Ky., passed away on April 12, 2003, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer.

Daniel was born February 10, 1930, in Lawrence County, the son of the late George Shelby and Nannie Burchett Prince.

He was a retired steel melter and a United States veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Prince was Baptist in belief.

He was preceded in death by a son Daniel Alan Prince and a sister Celo Cooper.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Jane Preece Prince of Selmer, Tenn., a son, Gary Lee Prince of Selmer, three sisters, Nellie Taylor of Calcutta, OH., Dorothy Spillman of Columbus, OH., a brother, John Prince of Lockbourne, OH., a granddaughter, Katie Nichole Prince of West Milford, NJ.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday April 19, 2003, at Wilson Funeral Home, by Rev. Carl Ray Diamond. Burial was in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens at Louisa, Ky.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
