"Edward P. Sprout, aged 61 years, died Thursday afternoon in an El Reno hospital after a short illness with a complication of troubles.
Funeral services were conducted at Waukomis Sunday afternoon with interment following in Waukomis cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, the former Mrs. Emma Harris, of west of Hinton; two sons, Hiram Sprout, of Lawton, and Lloyd Sprout, of Peck, Kan.; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Bard, of Faxon, other close relatives and many friends.
Deceased was well known and highly esteemed and was a pioneer settler of southwestern Oklahoma."
