Connie Lloyd Horton, 54, of Moore, SC, ran into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, after a long battle against cancer. Born October 5, 1958, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Freeman and Betty Sawyer Lloyd.
Connie was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where she joyfully attended her Sunday School Class. A graduate of Dorman High School and Converse College, she was employed by United Health Group. Connie loved her family, anything purple, and reading books on the beach until she was sun burnt.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Terry L. Horton; son, Jason L. Horton; daughter, Jennifer L. Horton; and brothers, Danny Lloyd of Gastonia, NC and David Lloyd of Stone Mountain, GA.
Visitation will be 2:00-3:30 PM Friday, March 15, 2013, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Robert Bevill. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens, Moore, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615; Poplar Springs Baptist Church, PO Box 417, Moore, SC 29369; or Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
