Visitation is Wednesday, Aug. 2, from noon until service time at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Acy, 63, died July 30, 2000, of a heart attack at Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi. He was born in Blackhawk on Aug. 29, 1936, to Jesse and Doshie M. Acy.

He was a self-employed business owner. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and his brother, N. A. Acy.

Survivors are his wife, Cary Rogers Acy of Corpus Christi; his sons, Wayne Acy of Austin, Texas, and Mike Acy of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Ava Hopkins of Corpus Christi; his brothers, C. W. Acy of Brookhaven, B. M. Acy of Sontag, J. J. Acy of Houston, Texas, Pete Acy of Jackson, and O. F. Acy of Pensacola, Fla.; and his grandchildren, Trey Hopkins, Amy Hopkins, Chip Acy, Angela Acy, Elizabeth Acy, Sierra Acy, and Matthew Acy.
