Alzora Rogers, 97, Shawnee, former Abilene resident, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at the Shawnee Gardens Nursing Home, Shawnee. She was born May 5, 1903, at Stillwater, Okla., the daughter of William and Lottie (Barr) Wright. She moved south of Solomon in Dickinson County as a child. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1923. She was also a graduate of Salt City Business College, Hutchinson.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at the First United Methodist Church, 601 N. Cedar, the Rev. Gary Armour officiating. Burial will be in the Abilene Cemetery.Visitation will be at the Danner Funeral Home, 501 N. Buckeye, Abilene.Memorial contributions may be made to the Countryside Christian Church and left at the funeral home.
