Armstrong Rites Wed.
Services for Reuben Richard Armstrong, 51, who died in Fresno, Calif., March 17, were held in the Strode Funeral chapel, Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with Eldred Stevens, minister of the Church of Christ in charge. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery.
Armstrong was born at Healdton, Okla., Sept. 28, 1896, the son of James and Martha Armstrong. He lived in Oklahoma and Texas and went to California in 1923. He had lived there since.
He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. F.M. Sherman of Stillwater, and Mrs. Hoyt Cypret, N. Washington, Stillwater; three brothers, E.E. Armstrong, of Elbert, Texas, James A. Armstrong of Tulsa, and Gene Armstrong of Oakland, Calif.
Bearers were Rex Sherman, Bobby Gene Sherman, Hoyt Walkup, Jack Merten, Cleo Payne and Lavaughn Armstrong.
