Mary H. Wolter, 97, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville.
Born May 7, 1915 in St. Maurice, Indiana, she was the daughter of John Bernard and Anna (Kuntz) Wolter.
Aunt Mary worked as she was affectionately called had worked in the cafeteria at the Greensburg High School for several years. She also had de-tasseled corn in Illinois, cleaned houses in the Decatur County area and was a hospital volunteer at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church, the D of I, and Night Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Angela Wolter, Cincinnati, Oh; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, great great great nieces and nephews and great great great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Frank, Joseph, Anthony, Edwin, Edward and Henry Wolter; two sisters, Rose Wolter, Minnie Ploeger.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary service will be held on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the St. Maurice Catholic Church in St. Maurice.
Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to "Boys Town".
