J Allen Woodrum, died very suddenly Thursday night at 8:30 o'clock at his home at Bellepoint.
Mr Woodrum had long been a sufferer of asthma and heart trouble but a few days prior to his death he contracted measles and was then threatened with typhoid fever which no doubt with his weak heart caused his death.

Mr Woodrum was born at Woodrumtown and was thirty-eight years of age. He had been working for the Bellepoint Dairy for the past seventeen years. He was a member of the Baptist church at Jumping Branch and had been for quite a number of years.

Eight years ago he married Miss Bessie Simmons of Bellepoint who with his father and mother, Mr and Mrs R M Woodrum of Wiggins and five brothers, C N and F A of Wiggins, Winnie and William of Ronceverte and Marion of Princeton are left to mourn their sad loss.

It is understood that the remains will be buried at Woodrumtown, probably Sunday.

Mr Woodrum was a highly respected citizen and will be missed both at home and among his friends of which he had many.
