Elizabeth McDaniel was the daughter of Rowland McDaniel and Lettice Neale. Elizabeth and Henry Young Elbert were the parents of nine children: Henry Dalton Elbert, Rowland McDaniel Elbert, John F Elbert, William Floyd Elbert, Lodman Young Elbert, Martha Ann Elbert, James P Elbert, Benjamin Neal Elbert. and Mary Elizabeth Elbert.

"History of Johnson County, Missouri" 1881. "History of Johnson County", in the biography of son John F. Elbert states that Elizabeth died bet. 1841-1848 in Benton County, Missouri. However, Henry Young married, 2nd, Hester Hutchinson, widow of Orregim Hutchinson, on 1 Apr 1845.

Elizabeth died bet. 1842-1844, near Ft. Lyons, Benton County, Missouri. She is buried in Old Shipp Place, one mile North of Fort Lyons, Missouri.
