A Farmer at Malahide. His niece Mina Mahala Whitesell helped care for his children after his wife died in 1882 until she married Levi Young in 1885.

Edna Young memoirs:
George's wife died leaving him with three half grown sons and what more natural than that he should ask "Mina", as my mother was called to come and keep house for him. His farm was just half way between Port Bruce and Aylmer. Of the three sons, Oscar the youngest ran away from home while he was quite young... George became a doctor at Port Arthur, made a lot of money... and Arthur the oldest stayed on the farm. It was here that my father came courting.

St. Thomas Daily Times, 29 Jun 1916,p. 6, c. 4
He died at the home of his son Dr. Gorge Brown, in his 80th year.
