Billy Roger Summers, 74, of Dresden, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at his residence.
Services were held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with Bro. Michael Simmons officiating. Entombment was in Jolley Springs Cemetery, Dresden.
Johnathan Summers, Roger Summers, Scott Waldin, Scott Alexander, Tony Pruitt and Richard Ellington served as pallbearers.
Summers was born in Weakley County, son of the late Clifton P. and Loretta Bowlin Summers. He was a retired factory employee at MTD Products, a member of the American Legion Post #94 and member of Jolley Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma L. Griffin Summers of Dresden; one daughter, Teresa (Tim) Whitworth of Martin; three sons, Roger (Cathy) Summers of McKenzie, Lynn (Paula) Summers of Camden and Jonathan (Anita) Summers of Dresden; one sister, Captola Winstead of Dresden; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
