Sallie Huffman Elliott Boggess, 92, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, October 27,2002 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born March 23, 1910 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Buck and Betty Curtsinger Huffman. She was the widow of Lewis Julian Boggess.
She was a retired employee of Universal Fasteners and a former employee of Dean and Shirk Thread Factory in Lawrenceburg. She was a member of Glensboro Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one stepson, Paul Boggess, Frankfort; two nephews, J. B. (Helen) Sparrow, Harrodsburg, and Cecil (Pauline) Thurman, Salvisa; one niece, Elizabeth Sparrow Murphy, Lawrenceburg. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mamie Burgin and Myrtle Sparrow, and one brother, Arce Huffman.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 30, at the Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg, with Bro. Rick Snyder officiating. Burial was in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John A. Sparrow, Bruce Sparrow, Rick Sparrow, Chris Sparrow, Matthew Sparrow and Josh Butler.
